Margaret Bellamy is a 1983 graduate of Princeton University and a 1988 graduate of the Harvard Law School. Prior to joining Langfitt PLLC, she worked as a professional consultant in the securities and real estate industry for more than twenty years. She began working for retired and injured athletes in the NFL Concussion Settlement in 2017 as a consultant and now devotes her career to assisting former athletes and other professionals who face debilitating injury.

Ms. Bellamy has helped hundreds of former NFL players navigate claims through the NFL Concussion Settlement and has analyzed and prepared appeals, audits, and objections for the Special Master and the Court. She is directly involved in assessing players' claims, having players diagnosed, arranging for short-term and long-term player care, educating players and their families on the implications of brain disease caused by football head injury, and making sure that the players who are eligible receive every benefit they can under the Settlement. She also makes recommendations where needed for Social Security Disability and the NFL Disability Benefit Plans.

Ms. Bellamy works actively in the firm's NCAA cases to protect players injured by participation in the game of football at the college level. She was involved in the groundbreaking Geathers v NCAA case, which resulted in an $18,000,000 verdict against the NCAA. This result was the first time in global history that a defendant was held responsible for causing Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy ("CTE"), the disease that lies latent in victims for decades with symptoms often not apparent until decades after the injury occurred.

Ms. Bellamy serves also as the Business Manager of Langfitt PLLC. She is the mother of three children and author of a textbook on grammar, available at Amazon Books and here.
